CaviTAU® is a medical ultrasound device for dental practice to show differences in the density of the jawbone. The generated images and graphics can be used for the detection and localization of degenerated bone structures. Confirmed degeneration of the bone structure is useful for all indications that may have been caused by it or that lead to it. The images are recorded by an ultrasound transmitter-receiver unit connected to the device. This unit sends ultrasonic waves from the transmitter through the jawbone to the receiver. The transmitter and receiver are positioned in front of and behind the jawbone. The received ultrasound wave signals are processed electronically to represent the desired bone density differences of the area being examined. The CaviTAU® product is used in dental practice to support medical professionals or dentists in the detection of degenerated bone structures. The CaviTAU® product does not provide absolute measurement values or direct diagnosis.
